Policy and Coalition Manager
The Policy and Coalition Manager will lead Cascadia's state and provincial policy strategy across Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, and British Columbia, driving the durable, pro-SAF policy environment needed to accelerate production and adoption of sustainable aviation fuel across the region. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Policy Program Leader will serve as Cascadia's principal advocate with state and provincial legislators, regulators, and agency officials, translating CSAA's policy priorities into legislative and regulatory action. Another aspect of this role is facilitating and engaging with CSAA’s community through topic specific working groups and committees.
This role requires deep policy expertise combined with the ability to build durable relationships and coalitions across five distinct political and regulatory environments. The Policy Program Leader will be expected to bring strategic judgment, persistence, and hands-on execution to advance policy in a dynamic, multi-jurisdictional landscape.

Director of Development and Principal Gifts
The Director of Development & Principal Gifts will lead fundraising strategy and execution for the Cascadia Sustainable Aviation Institute (CSAI), building a development function from the ground up to secure foundation support and philanthropic partnerships needed to fund CSAI's research, testing infrastructure, and Phase II facility. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Director will build the systems, relationships, and pipeline required to sustain and grow the Institute's philanthropic funding base.
This role requires both principal gift experience and the ability to build development infrastructure in an early-stage environment. The Director will be expected to combine strategic fundraising planning with donor cultivation and relationship management.
Research and Development Director
The Research & Development Director will own the research agenda of the Cascadia Sustainable Aviation Institute (CSAI), ensuring the Institute's research portfolio delivers measurable value to producers, partners, and the broader SAF ecosystem while directly advancing Cascadia's goal of 1 billion gallons of locally produced sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) by 2035.
Reporting to the Executive Director, this role will partner with technical partners, OEMs, technology providers, and SAF producers to translate CSAI's research into commercial progress, and will liaise with national laboratories, universities, and global R&D partners to build out a world-class SAF innovation center at Paine Field. The Director will work especially closely with Washington State University (WSU) — CSAI's anchor research partner and host of ASCENT, the FAA's SAF research center — and with the Cascadia Sustainable Aviation Accelerator (CSAA) to unlock new technologies and advance innovative technology solutions in support of the region's 1 billion gallon goal.
Operations Associate
The Operations Associate will keep Cascadia's governance, operations, donor relationships and special projects running smoothly as the organization builds its foundation. Reporting to the Operations Director, this role will support the Board of Directors and its committees, help establish operational practices, coordinate donor reporting, support the development of Cascadia’s R&D facility, and lead special projects such as international SAF fact-finding delegations and educational events.
This role requires strong organization, sharp communication and attention to detail, combined with the flexibility to thrive in a start-up environment. Responsibilities will evolve as the organization matures, and the Operations Associate will have the opportunity to take on projects and activities that match their background and interests. This role will have a high-degree of autonomy and serve as a thought partner to the operations director.
